Joshua – I have a beard, it is the source of all my cycling knowledge.

Thomas – Bicycles… It’s where my first broken arm came from. Being interested is how I learned to overhaul bottom brackets as a kid. It also progressed to more than just a hobby for well over a decade; it turned into my life. It originally started as my first summer job at a shop that’s no longer around. I originally thought “well at least I have something to do now…” I stuck with it through high school and it progressed into a way to put myself through school. To be completely honest, I never really like school and realized all I learned there is not where I want my life to head. At that point I was riding almost every night and just sticking to what I know. Fixing bikes. Fast forward to today through day in and day out shop experience. I’ve been working in a bike shop for over 11 years and still have a passion for solving problems, providing ride support and giving the type of service that I would only expect coming from a professional shop. Go team, high five!

Adam – I was too lazy to write a bio, so I told Josh to, and this is what he wrote.

- About the Location:
We’re a great destination for a stop on your next ride. Located in the heart of South Minneapolis, about 10 blocks south of the Midtown Greenway, a stones throw from Lake Hiawatha, a short jaunt from Minnehaha Falls and the Minnehaha Parkway, and few minutes from the great Mississippi River. In 2009, we gutted the abandoned space that was once an Ace Hardware next to Buster’s and The Baker’s Wife to make room for The Angry Catfish to open its doors in late January of 2010. We replaced deteriorating ceilings and flooring with wood, copper, corrugated metal and furnishings made from re-purposed bicycles to create a comfortable, contemporary urban environment in which to experience the finest coffees and bikes around.
The shop and cafe share one large open space with a full espresso bar, comfortable seating area, beautiful bicycle gallery, and exposed service area that allows for interaction with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. We welcome families, groups and even occasional meetings or events. Please feel free to contact us if you are planning a group outing we should be aware of.
