Our new rear bag support is a highly adaptable compact carrier produced by our partners at Nitto. Able to be mounted on a wide range of cycles, the Burrito rack is a suitable way to carry a compact load, whether as a support for a bag attached to your saddle, or as a standalone rack that a small bag, stuff sac, or sleep roll could be attached to. The rack's decking is constructed of tubular chromoly. The adjustable struts can be eyelet mounted or you can use the included band clamps to secure the rack to your bike's seat stays. A seatpost clamp provides the third necessary attachment point. Nitto recommends using the clamp with seatposts between 26.8mm and 27.2mm. Completely strip and prep your chain for wax in 10 minutes. Submerge the chain or even just drip it on the chain, rinse, and apply super secret. Take all the work and harsh chemicals out of chain waxing! Specifications: - Biodegradable ingredients - Cleans chain in 10 minutes - Improves wax treatment adhesion - Strip chain on or off bike - Made in USA Far and away, the largest hurdle for people converting to a waxed drivetrain has always been the need to completely strip the factory lubricant from the chain in order for the wax to properly adhere. Traditional methods have involved using 2-3 different solvents and rinse steps, moving from non-polar solvents that thin greases and oils to progressively more polar solvents that evaporate quickly to eliminate residues. For the design of SILCA Chain Stripper, we started from the end and worked backwards, identifying chemicals which drive out greases and oils while promoting wax adhesion to metal. The result is an organic cleaner that lifts and encapsulates greases and oils allowing them to easily be rinsed away from the metal surface. The result is the world's first wax optimized chain cleaner which not only removes greases and oils, but actually primes the metal surface for improved adhesion from wax lubricants. The aggressive 'lift and encapsulate' action of SILCA chain stripper allows for 2 quick and easy cleaning options. Option 1: For hot-melt waxing a new, factory chain with SILCA Secret Blend Hot Melt, simply immerse the chain in the Stripper and agitate 30 seconds. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes and agitate again for 30 seconds. Remove the chain from the Stripper and rinse with water and then drop the chain directly into the hot wax, the water will boil off within a few minutes and the chain will be fully waxed with up to 30% longer application life than a chain cleaned by traditional methods. Option 2: For drip applied waxing of a new or nearly new chain with SILCA Super Secret without removing the chain from the bicycle. Apply 1 drop of SILCA Chain Stripper to each roller of the chain while backpedalling. Allow to soak for 5 minutes. Backpedal 10 revolutions of the crank to agitate cleaner and re-apply 1 drop per roller allowing to sit for 5 more minutes. Rinse with clean water while backpedalling at least 10 revolutions.

Heat is the enemy of mini-pumps. More strokes generate more friction which produces more heat—and heat is wasted energy.  Unlike most mini-pumps, Pocket Impero does not suffer from efficiency loss when hot.  Pocket Impero is between a high-pressure and high-volume pump. SILCA Super Secret Chain lube started out as a project to develop the fastest Hot-Melt wax lubricant available more than a year ago. Josh has been recommending Hot Melt Wax and helping Pro cyclists and triathletes wax chains for years and wanted to bring his lubricant formula to our customers, the challenge was how to consistently melt, dip and agitate the chain across different crockpot designs and temperatures. The project took a fascinating turn from the world of IndyCar when josh was introduced to a group that had developed a technology to put micro-scale wax powders into a solution that was quick drying and forms a coating that is indiscernible from hot melt dipping. The combination of air-drying liquid wax and Tungsten Disulfide would quickly prove to beat all currently available hot melt waxes in friction testing while being much faster and easier to apply. THE ENVIRONMENT: Best of all perhaps is that this formula would prove to be very environmentally friendly, utilizing 4 different types of wax, nano platelets of WS2 (Tungsten Disulfide), and mild alcohol to act as a carrier. This same alcohol is used in the SILCA Gear Wipes, making them a perfect product to clean and remove Secret Chain Lube. Specifications 4 oz. and 8 oz. bottles with the precision applicator tip for dripping on your chain or 16 oz. jar with 12 oz. lube (leaving room for your chain) for dipping the chain The chain should be VERY clean and dry before applying. Apply according to video and let dry for AT LEAST 12 Hours for optimal results, 24 hours if applied in cool or humid weather conditions! We recommend applying the lube AFTER your ride so it's ready for next time! NOTE: Over time the WS2 will begin to settle to the bottom of the bottle, shake well before using! APPLYING THE LUBE (NOTE UPDATE!) 1. Be sure to have chainline relatively straight (53/15 or so) 2. Shake bottle well and open tip halfway 3. Begin applying drip lube to top of rollers while pedaling backward. Be sure to apply at least 1 drop per roller and no more than 2 drops per roller while continuing to backpedal. 4. Use fingers on top-bottom of chain to work the lube into rollers while backpedaling at least 3-4 revolutions. 5. Pedal forward shifting all the way to top of the cassette, pedal for at least 3-4 revolutions. The extreme chain angle opens gaps between plates to allow the lube to better work into the chain. Continue pedaling, shifting through all gears on the rear cassette at least once. 6. Stop pedaling and allow Secret Chain Lube to dry for minimum 12 hours, test results show that lube is fully hardened in 24 hours. ZeroFrictionCycling found SSCL to be best dry lube EVER Tested after 8 hours drying, but would be EVEN BETTER after 24 hours!! 7. SILCA Gear Wipes may be used to remove any excess lube from chainrings if you desire a cleaner look. Note: Temperature and Humidity will affect drying time of SSCL, and the dryer it is when you ride it, the longer it will last. Drying time will also be affected by temperature, lube will dry faster in warmer temperatures and at lower humidity, and lube will take longer to dry in cold or more humid conditions. We recommend 24 hours as the optimal drying time.

Schmidt SON Headlights for Dynamos Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau of Tübingen, Germany makes several headlights for 6 volt dynamo systems. Their latest is the Edelux II which produces the brightest beam available at 90 lux at 15 kph, the German standard for lux measurement. The beam is shaped much like a high quality automotive low beam, bright at the top, then getting progressively dimmer towards the bottom, resulting in extremely even illumination of the road ahead for the cyclist. It puts most of the light further down the road so you can see at a distance when descending a hill, and there's still plenty of light close to the bike. The Edelux II has an all aluminum housing and a high quality hard glass lens instead of a plastic lens, which is common on other headlights. For the winter commuter riding on sanded and salted roads, the Edelux II lens will remain clear for many years without clouding up from sand kicked up by passing cars. Like the original Edelux, the Edelux II uses a mirror that Schmidt buys from their friends at Busch & Müller. The original Edelux uses the Busch & Müller IQ-Tec mirror, introduced in 2007, and the Edelux II uses the new IQ Tec P mirror, introduced at Eurobike, August, 2013. This new mirror projects a much wider beam than does the original, about twice the width. Yet, with new brighter LEDs, the lux measurement is still higher. So the road ahead is not only illuminated with a much wider beam, it's also a bit brighter. But there's one more thing about this new headlight that is just extraordinary. In order to illuminate the road ahead evenly, there needs to be a smooth increase in the projected light from the bottom of the beam to the top. The further the light has to go, the brighter it needs to be at the source (the headlight) in order for the road surface to be evenly lit from the viewpoint of the cyclist. The older Edelux with IQ-Tec reflector did what I thought was an admirable job of producing an evenly lit road surface. But this new beam is even better in that regard, while still being so much wider and taller. Why is this important? If the road surface close to the rider is brighter than the road at a distance, your eyes will have more difficulty making out details on the road at a distance when you're riding fast or descending a hill. On a fast descent, the further away you can see clearly, the more time you'll have to react to whatever it is you're approaching. The Edelux II headlight is compatible with Schmidt's own SON taillights, as well as taillights from Busch & Müller and Spanninga.While they can be used with current production Supernova taillights, the taillight will have no standlight function, so I don't recommend it.
