INTEGRATED USB CHARGER - Charge your phone, GPS, or any other USB device directly from the Beacon; no need for a separate charger. FLEXIBLE POWER OPTIONS - An external, off-the-shelf USB battery pack can be connected to maintain bright, flicker-free light even when stopped or riding slowly. Any available dynamo power replaces battery power until reaching a speed when all power is provided by the dynamo and the battery is no longer used. 750 LUMENS - Lots of light, suitable for any style of riding. SYMMETRICAL BEAM PATTERN - Ideal choice for off-road riding. SUPERIOR BRIGHTNESS AT LOW AND MEDIUM SPEEDS - Dynamo power is optimized at low-to-medium speeds, reaching 200 lumens at just 5 MPH, 500 lumens at 8 MPH, 650 lumens at 10 MPH, and 750 lumens at 13 MPH. CHARGER PRIORITY MODE - Intelligently balances power between light and charger to optimize simultaneous use. STANDLIGHT - A supercapacitor, charged while riding, provides about 5 minutes of standlight when stopped. MOUNTING OPTIONS - The 10mm mounting tab is compatible with mounting hardware from B&M, Supernova, Schmidt, etc. COMPACT DESIGN - L x W x H - 58 x 42 x 42mm. 115g (includes 36" dynamo wire) BETTER COLOR TEMPERATURE - While still in the "cool white" range, the Beacon generates slightly warmer light than other LED headlights. This results in less glare, less strain on your eyes, and does a better job reproducing natural colors. WEATHERPROOF - Designed to be used in any conditions. Multiple seals protect against water ingress, electronics are potted in epoxy, and all connectors are gold plated and designed for resistance to the elements. MADE IN THE USA - All Sinewave products are made in the USA. The Beacon is the only commercially available dynamo light made in the USA. WARRANTY - 3 years WHAT'S IN THE BOX? • The Beacon comes with a USB-to-DC cable. • A mount is not included - there are many options available for different mounting locations. Schmidt SON Headlights for Dynamos Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau of Tübingen, Germany makes several headlights for 6 volt dynamo systems. Their latest is the Edelux II which produces the brightest beam available at 90 lux at 15 kph, the German standard for lux measurement. The beam is shaped much like a high quality automotive low beam, bright at the top, then getting progressively dimmer towards the bottom, resulting in extremely even illumination of the road ahead for the cyclist. It puts most of the light further down the road so you can see at a distance when descending a hill, and there's still plenty of light close to the bike. The Edelux II has an all aluminum housing and a high quality hard glass lens instead of a plastic lens, which is common on other headlights. For the winter commuter riding on sanded and salted roads, the Edelux II lens will remain clear for many years without clouding up from sand kicked up by passing cars. Like the original Edelux, the Edelux II uses a mirror that Schmidt buys from their friends at Busch & Müller. The original Edelux uses the Busch & Müller IQ-Tec mirror, introduced in 2007, and the Edelux II uses the new IQ Tec P mirror, introduced at Eurobike, August, 2013. This new mirror projects a much wider beam than does the original, about twice the width. Yet, with new brighter LEDs, the lux measurement is still higher. So the road ahead is not only illuminated with a much wider beam, it's also a bit brighter. But there's one more thing about this new headlight that is just extraordinary. In order to illuminate the road ahead evenly, there needs to be a smooth increase in the projected light from the bottom of the beam to the top. The further the light has to go, the brighter it needs to be at the source (the headlight) in order for the road surface to be evenly lit from the viewpoint of the cyclist. The older Edelux with IQ-Tec reflector did what I thought was an admirable job of producing an evenly lit road surface. But this new beam is even better in that regard, while still being so much wider and taller. Why is this important? If the road surface close to the rider is brighter than the road at a distance, your eyes will have more difficulty making out details on the road at a distance when you're riding fast or descending a hill. On a fast descent, the further away you can see clearly, the more time you'll have to react to whatever it is you're approaching. The Edelux II headlight is compatible with Schmidt's own SON taillights, as well as taillights from Busch & Müller and Spanninga. While they can be used with current production Supernova taillights, the taillight will have no standlight function, so I don't recommend it.

There are three upside down versions! All versions make the electrical connection to Ground via the mount. Two versions with switch are available, polished finish and black anodized. These are the most popular versions and have an On/Off switch, 140cm wire to the hub, and taillight connections. A third version has no switch or taillight connections. It's intended for custom bikes with a switch provided by the frame builder. This version is black with 149cm wire, switch and taillight connections. Unlike the regular Edelux II headlights, there is no Senso function on any upside down version. See Peter White's website for installation details: https://www.peterwhitecycles.com/sch-hl.php#EIIU

Wireless Bike Light with a cutoff beam pattern for Road/Gravel riding Our original Road Edition set the bar high for the last several years. So we were challenged on how to improve it. Right away, we've ditched the large battery pack. This is all internal, self contained, USB-C rechargeable, and slim enough to fit in your pocket. Then we fine tuned the heck out of the beam pattern. Extremely smooth and progressive light field from the front of your tire all the way to where you are looking. We also added sidemarker lights to help with visibility from the side, much like on cars. We've incorporated our quick-release fiberglass-reinforced nylon mount that we, ahem, “borrowed” from those clever camera guys to keep everything pointing in the right direction and easy to put on and take off with one hand. We do have a custom mount solution to fit underneath most bike computers for that clean and tucked look: Quick Release Action Camera Adapter Proudly and capably made just down the road in Chicago IL. In The Box - Detour Road Bicycle Light - Quick-Release Bar Mount (fits 31.8mm and 35mm bars) - USB-C to USB-A Charge Cable - 2.5mm Hex Wrench - Instructions Specs and Instructions - Mounting Location: Handlebar - Application: Front Bike Light for Road/Gravel and commuting - Runtime: (see runtime charts) - Charging: USB-C with Pass-Thru Charging (0 to 80% in 2 hours) - Lumens: Approximately 1200 - Battery Capacity: 3.6V 5000mah (18.0 Wh) - Weight: Lighthead = 150g, Quick Release Mount = 36g Adaptive Mode What is adaptive mode? Nothing too fancy, it is just the default mode when the light is turned on. It stays on high for about 5 minutes, and over the course of 30 minutes it will very slowly reduce brightness to medium mode while your eyes ADAPT to the darkness. Letting you get more runtime, without noticing a thing by tricking your brain. All other modes are solid output so you know what you are getting at any time.

Want a helmet light that is actually a light designed for helmets? Not just a flashlight? Then you've come to the right place Hangover borrows its name from the famous trail in Sedona, AZ (not the dreaded “brew flu”). Into it, we poured every ounce of our automotive optics knowledge, creating the most compact, bike light anywhere. But slim does not mean dim. Some serious late-night thinking went into the Hangover, with countless hours prototyping the perfect beam pattern for trail riding and for helmet mounting. The resulting optics fills your entire field of vision with light, not just a spot down the trail. So, you can avoid what you want to miss, and hit what you really want to shred. Good for 90 minutes of strong output, with the ability to USB speed-charge on the go, and yet only 100 grams. USB-C quick charge 3.0 is included as standard. These lights are proudly and expertly made right here in Chicago, with the help of good coffee, homegrown talent, and a couple of dogs in the shop.

Behold the Trail Evo. The sum total of our decades of experience designing automotive optics, all neatly wrapped up in the best bike light we have ever engineered. Featuring a panoramic, perfectly even beam pattern that we fine-tuned the heck out of to meet the demands of trail riding. With a smooth falloff all around you to aid peripheral vision (the beam should fall off, not the biker). With it we created a literal wall of light that illuminates your entire field of view. A quick-release fiberglass-reinforced nylon mount that we, ahem, “borrowed” from those clever camera guys to keep this bike light pointing in the right direction. Good for 150+ minutes of strong output and, should you need it, the ability to USB-C quick charge on-the-go. Proudly and capably made just down the trail in Chicago IL. What’s in the Box: - Trail Evo - Quick-Release Bar Mount - USB-C to USB-A Charge Cable - 2.5mm Hex Wrench - Instructions When we launched the Trail Edition back in 2017 it was a game changer for bike lights. A beam pattern specifically designed for mountain bike riding with a wide evenly illuminated distribution. However it required an external battery pack, and we had lots of customers wanting to go wireless. So we took the best parts of Trail, and evolved it into the Trail Evo. Bringing a long lasting, even brighter, even wider beam pattern to your handlebars, without any external cords. Read on for more nerdy design details! Advanced Optical Engineering When we developed Evo’s beam pattern, we knew we could go wider and brighter, so we redefined our illumination goals, target candela points, beam angles, and then went to work simulating, testing, prototyping and developing the most seamless pattern we've built to date. The extreme width is thanks to the finely tuned blended Total Internal Reflection (TIR) optics. Hundreds of simulations with Lucidshape software let us squish, squeeze, stretch and shape the light to hit that perfect balance of peak brightness, smooth falloff and insane peripheral coverage. Check the slider comparison below to see the difference between a fine tuned optical instrument such as Trail Evo vs a name-brand light that has been around for years. The difference is staggering in person. USB-C Pass-thru Charging Everyone has USB charging ports all over nowadays, so we make sure you can use any of them with the Trail Evo, including almost all QC 3.0-rated chargers for super fast recharge times. But we took that concept one step further and added Pass-Thru Charging (PTC) to allow you full access to all output modes of your light while charging from an off-the-shelf USB Power Bank, so that you can extend runtime for those epic adventures, without limiting the light available to you (bikepackers rejoice!). We even customized the included USB-C cable to seal against the elements when plugged in so you don’t need to worry, just ride. Rock Solid Mounting A good light isn’t so good if it’s bouncing up and down on the bars all the time. That’s why we made a bolt-on clamp mount for Evo so it’s solidly locked to the bar, With a simple shim it adapts from 35mm to 31.8mm bars and the beam won’t shake around like lights with rubber strap mounts do. We adapted an established camera tripod mount concept then miniaturized it for slick snap-in installation with a ramped-cam that always takes up the slack as it wears, so you never have a rattly interface, and an easy one-handed quick-release process to pop the Evo off post-ride to charge. Simple User Interface Few people read instruction manuals, even fewer want to, so we keep our lights dead simple so that you don’t need an advanced degree to remember some complicated sequence of button presses get to the mode you want. Evo’s soft-touch overmolded top shell has a single, large button right in the middle that’s easy to feel through a thick winter glove in the dark, with four green indicators to clearly convey mode and battery status without the need for a decoder. Four simple modes cover the majority of use cases from set-it-and-forget-it pedally XC to long-climb-fast-descent Enduro rides – Adaptive / High / Medium / Low – and no SOS or seizure inducing strobes stuck in between. Electrifying design We like to keep our lights simple on the outside for the user, but that doesn’t mean we’re skimping on the guts inside. The constant-current driver maintains rock solid regulation through the Cree XD16 LEDs over the entire voltage range of the genuine Samsung 21700 cells with a unique battery monitoring algorithm to give you accurate feedback without interruption. Complete with fast QC 3.0 USB-C charging and Pass-Thru capability to boot, we engineer the electronics to maximize efficiency and runtime while minimizing charge times, all without any proprietary connectors that could leave you stranded. Busch & Müller dynamo headlights are made to be powered by a 6 volt, 3 watt hub or sidewall dynamo. Busch & Müller makes a wide variety of bicycle headlights for use with hub dynamos as well as tire driven dynamos. If used with a 6 volt 3 watt dynamo these lights work along with a taillight and deliver their maximum brightness. If used with a 6 volt 2.4 watt dynamo they deliver their maximum brightness without a taillight. When used with a taillight, the taillight is wired to the taillight connectors on the headlight. So power goes from the dynamo to the headlight and then from the headlight to the taillight. The On/Off switch on the headlight then controls both the headlight and the taillight. The headlight also provides the correct voltage to the taillight eliminating the risk of damage to the taillight.
