Moots Womble Frameset with Chris King Headset - Size Medium - Brushed Finish
$6,000.00 - $7,522.50 $8,850.00 Up to 32% Off
The Womble is for lovers of single-track and adventure. It’s a new bike for old souls. It’s a cult. It’s a Moots. Wake up ungodly early. Coffee, camelback, breakfast burrito, rain jacket and bike. No fresh tire tracks on the moist morning dirt, but dew dripping cobwebs, and rising mist surround. It doesn’t take long to feel the pulse pounding in your neck as you apply pressure up the first steep switchbacks. Soon, the trail opens. Keep those fingers off the brakes and trust in the bike as you let your muscles relax and float through a hoard of slate and limestone traps. The tread hums as speed turns to force and the traction over the rock-embedded trail blows dry fall leaves off every turn. Our passion for seeking pristine singletrack is instinctual and decades deep. It’s what keeps us going and has inspired our bikes since 1981. It’s strange to admit, but we press forward to satisfy our own passion for the trails that inspire us. We love simplicity, reliability and efficiency. Let’s skip the clichés and simply acknowledge that for us riding singletrack is mastery of up and down and our twisted obsession in balancing adventure and sheer speed between point to point. We don’t know what bucket to classify it, to us it’s just mountain biking. Moots was early to utilize the 29” wheel platform, and the Womble builds on that with a 29” specific geometry and ample clearance for 2.6” tires. We wanted a bike that tracked like nothing we’ve built before. The Womble boasts an all new and proprietary double butted top and down tube in the largest diameters we’ve ever built in order to create the stiffest and strongest front end possible. This gives strength to stretch the front center measurement and mate to 140mm travel fork, just to add a bit more reach. The Womble is a 1x specific frame and this one is built with Shimano’s value/performance monster XT 8100 1×12 gruppo and anchored with the Rock Shox Pike Ultimate 140 with 42mm offset that is simply the smoothest, stiffest and best tracking suspension we could mate the Womble to. Behind the Name – Womble We’ve been building bikes for almost 40 years at Moots and mountain bikes have been at the heart of what we do from the outset. The launch of our newest mountain bike, the Womble, is a tribute to the kind of riding we all love at Moots. Built as a cross country bike for both fun and long days in the saddle, we named this bike after the iconic Womble trail in Mt. Ida, Arkansas.

Product Details We have taken our expansive history in gravel and brought forward a more capable and more powerful version of anything that we have ever made before. The Moots Express is a class 3, pedal assist e-bike all rolled up into a composite chassis. It starts off with a fully integrated cockpit via our MOD series stem, handlebar, and fork allowing all hoses and wires to be concealed neatly with the frame. The heart of the Express hinges around a state of the art Shimano EP801 drive unit which has the ability to keep adding assist all the way up to 28mph. Power comes from a 504Wh Shimano battery, so you can be confident that it will be safe, serviceable, and available for many years to come. The drivetrain consists of Shimano XT Linkglide components, specifically built for ebikes and specced for the gear range needed for gravel riding. The brakes/shifters are upsized Shimano Ultegra flat mount units that also operate the electronic shifting and assist control. Carbon, 25mm internal Shimano GRX wheels are wrapped with Panaracer 50c SK+ tires with room to spare. The Express has integrated fender mounts front and rear along with two bottle mounts in the front triangle, one being a three pack variant, and two three pack mounts on the fork. One on each leg. The battery is able to be charged within the frame via the charging door on the seat tube as well as the battery is easily removed out of the down tube through the one bolt battery access door. The biggest tire clearance gravel bike we make at 2.4” wide, still with road geometry & parts to combine speed with go-anywhere capabilities. Ideal for the toughest singletrack and roads. In the box: Frame, U-Turn fork, headset, seat tube collar, front & rear Carbon-Ti thru-axle, 2 RD hangers, 3 MultiStops (1x, Di2, eTap), chainstay cable exit, noise-reduction foam sleeves, manual. Frame colors come in Orange, Turquoise, matte/gloss Grey, Brown and unpainted. - With 650b gravel or 27.5" mountain bike tires up to 2.4”(61mm), rutted singletrack, slippery roots and rocks disappear.\ - With 700c gravel tires up to 46mm, even the toughest gravel roads are tackled at lightning speed - Assembled with 700c road tires (we recommend 35-40mm wide), you have the most comfortable road bike ever invented - The U.P.'s dropped right chainstay launched a whole category of bikes. The WI.DE. doubles up. The double-drop chainstays create a very efficient box-shape behind the BB. This increases stiffness, reduces weight and boosts tire clearance. - 1x cranks eliminate the inner ring and front derailleur that limit tire clearance. Most of our customers run a classic 1x setup with 12-sp or 13-sp cassette. But you can also go 2x using the Classified system: light, fast, very efficient and clean. - Every bike company has access to the same carbon. Compared to industries like aviation, carbon volume for bikes is too small for custom or exclusive. So all those different names for proprietary carbon are just that, names. - What matters: high-modulus carbon is stiff but brittle, low modulus carbon is more flexible but tougher. You need stiff and tough, so the best layup is a blend and the ratio depends on what is most important in each area of the frame. - In some areas (main tubes for example), the blend has more high modulus (and even ultra-high modulus) carbon. Other areas (headtube for example) use more of the tough carbon. That’s how our frames are both light and durable. - Wire-Stays: Vertically thin chainstays and seatstays provide compliance, while their lateral width and layup ensure rock-solid propulsion. Truly the best of both worlds. - Flat-Out Downtube: The downtube drives stiffness, connecting your steering center to your drivetrain. The flat sides places strips of ultra-high modulus carbon where it matters most. - Zero-Setback Seattube: A zero-offset seatpost is lighter & more efficient, so we have designed our seattube angle such that most riders can use a zero-offset rather than an off-set seatpost. - Internal Routing: Internal cables & hoses through the frame stay clean & protected and frankly, they look better. In the cockpit they are exposed for easy maintenance.

Big adventures require a bike that can rise to the occasion. Arctodus is named after Arctodus simus, an Ice Age behemoth that was the largest bear to ever walk the Earth. Like its namesake, Arctodus the bike is versatile, strong, and ready to explore. It has adjustable geometry, a durable steel frame, a massive front triangle for a frame bag, lots of cargo mounts, and can clear the biggest fat bike tires on the market. Arctodus is ready for afternoon exploration, polar expeditions, and everything in between. ***************************************************************** Angry Catfish's website is tied into Otso's available inventory. If you are visiting our store to view the bike, please contact us before coming, to ensure we have what you're looking for. ***************************************************************** THE BIGGEST TIRE CLEARANCE Arctodus was built around a 26" x 4.8" tire for optimal handling and control on loose trails. It can fit the biggest fat bike tires in the world. The biggest fat tire on the market is 26" x 5.05" and Arctodus eats them like a snack with room to spare. Same as 27.5" x 4.5", which is the biggest 27.5" tire available. Arctodus is the only bike to clear tires this big with a 12-speed drivetrain without chain interference. When a bike is created for big rides with fresh snow, it needs to fit tires that were designed for the same reason. This is a bike that prays for snow and cuts its own trail. ONE BIKE, THREE WHEELBASE LENGTHS A key feature in all Otso bikes is adjustable geometry and the ability to adapt the bike for the ride ahead. The patented Tuning Chip rear dropout system can change wheelbase length by up to 20mm, raise or lower the bottom bracket height by up to 4mm, and change the head tube angle by +/- 0.5º. Use the rear position when the trails are loose and you need as much control as you can get. Use the front position when the snow is firm and the trails let you take turns with a little speed. No matter the conditions, Arctodus has an answer. DESIGNED FOR EXPLORING There's no need to wait for the trail groomer. Arctodus was made for foot trails, forest paths, and snow-covered frozen lakes. The bombproof steel frame can withstand the demands of an expedition. A large front triangle can fit a healthy full frame bag. The carbon fork has mounts on either side for cargo. A rear frame can be attached via mounts on the seat stays and Tuning Chip hardware. Even the geometry is catered for exploration, with extra trail for optimal flotation and bottom bracket height that will ride above deeper snow. Whether you're exploring local trails or a national forest, you can trust Arctodus to keep you riding. NARROW Q FACTOR Arctodus has a 100mm bottom bracket. This is 30-40mm narrower than other fat bikes that have the same tire clearance. Ride with massive tires without compromising handling. SUSPENSION CORRECT All Otso frames feature suspension-corrected geometry. Arctodus is compatible with suspension forks that have up to 120mm of travel. A few options are available on the Custom Bike Builder. STABILITY & FLOATATION Arctodus geometry was designed for optimal riding on fresh trails. The 68º head tube angle paired with massive tires gives Arctodus more trail than other fat bikes. Even the BB height was selected for clearance in deep snow. DROPPER COMPATIBLE Snowy trails are good with dropper posts, too. A port near the bottom bracket fits a cable and housing for a cable-actuated dropper post.

Voytek changes the fat bike game. It is fast, lightweight, agile, and can handle even the sharpest turns of your local singletrack with ease. Think of it as a mountain bike that can fit fat tires with adjustable geometry. We paired a narrow pedal stance—aka Q factor—with aggressive XC race geometry to build a fat bike that can intuitively handle snowy trails like your mountain bike can handle summer singletrack without sacrificing ride quality. When the weather turns and the snow turns to dirt, swap out the 26" fat wheelset for a 29" MTB wheelset to keep the party going all year. ***************************************************************** Angry Catfish's website is tied into Otso's available inventory. If you are visiting our store to view the bike, please contact us before coming, to ensure we have what you're looking for. ***************************************************************** THE Q-FACTOR IS THE KEY The Voytek has the narrowest Q-factor of any fat bike in the world at 183mm. With a narrow Q-factor, your weight is closer to the centerline of the bike. This is especially important when cornering because it allows for tight, responsive control—the wider Q-factor found on most fat bikes spreads out your pedals and creates a floppy, unstable feel. The Voytek frame was designed around an 83mm bottom bracket, where most fat bikes have a bottom bracket north of the 100-110mm range. With the Voytek, you don't need to compromise agile handling to ride up to 4.6" tires. ONE BIKE, THREE WHEELBASE LENGTHS Our Tuning Chip rear dropout is at the heart of the versatile Voytek. With a quick change in positions, the wheelbase of the Voytek can be extended or shortened by up to 20mm, which also changes bottom bracket height by up to 4mm and head tube angle by +/- 0.5º. In the forward position, you've got an aggressive, responsive Voytek for your next race. In the rear position, you've got that same intuitive handling but with added stability to make it easier to ride in deep snow or adverse terrain. In the middle, well, that's the best of both worlds. PLUS OR FAT? FAT OR PLUS? We're internally divided here as to whether the Voytek is a plus bike that can handle fat tires or if the Voytek is a fat bike that has the handling worthy of a plus bike. When the trails are packed with snow, we're riding 4" tires. When spring comes and the trails turn to dirt, we swap out tires and ride 29" plus until winter returns. The versatility of the Voytek blurs the lines of plus and fat, keeping the party going all year long. MODERN GEOMETRY Voytek's longer top tube, short chainstays—the shortest in the world for a fat bike—and slightly slacker head tube angle mean more speed and more fun. SUSPENSION CORRECT Voytek's suspension-corrected geometry is compatible with an Otso carbon rigid fork or up to 120 mm travel suspension fork. COMPETITOR TESTED, ISO APPROVED Voytek's patent-pending frame design exceeds all ISO frame safety standards and has been proven over thousands of miles of test riding, including the legendary Iditarod Invitational and Arrowhead 135 competitions. DROPPER COMPATIBLE The EPS molded carbon frame of the Voytek was designed to accept internally routed dropper seat posts.
