Beargrease is a highly nimble carbon fat-tire bike, thanks to its efficient frame, trail geometry, and 27.5" wheels. Beargrease was the industry's first carbon fat bike, and its pioneering spirit is evident in the light and nimble carbon frameset with plenty of cargo-mounting options. The 27.5 fat bike platform improves rollover and reduces rolling resistance—perfect when you're trying to keep your speed up on a groomed race course or singletrack. The 1 x 11 Shimano Deore drivetrain is a smooth-shifting workhorse that brings reliable performance wherever you take it. High-Modulus Carbon Fiber Frame This material offers improved stiffness, better vibration damping, excellent durability, and weight savings compared to other frame materials. Beargrease Geometry 440mm chainstays, longer front/center, short stems, and wide bars create room to move and add confidence while maneuvering on tight trails. Standover height is improved, allowing the addition of an X-Small frame size. This geometry results in a fat bike that rides like a trail bike. It is stable, steers well in loose conditions, and still remains nimble and agile despite the massive wheels and tires. A low bottom bracket height is also key, keeping the rider's center of gravity low, and making dabbing, dismounting, and remounting easier. 27.5 x 4.0" Wheel & Tire Size Beargrease rolls on 27.5 x 3.8" wheels and tires. For groomed snow or dirt, the increase in diameter provides increased rollover, a longer contact patch, and the flotation of a 4.0" tire without added rolling resistance. We'll let you two start planning. 6066-T6 Aluminum Frame Top-shelf, double and triple-butted, heat-treated 6066-T6 aluminum tubing is used throughout the frame. This 6000-series aluminum has better strength and fatigue characteristics than 6061 and 7000-series aluminum, allowing for a stronger and lighter overall frame. Additionally, the tubing is strategically shaped and formed for additional stiffness and strength optimization in key stress areas. Mukluk Geometry Mukluk's geometry works extremely well in all conditions and use cases, whether it be riding groomed singletrack at your local trail, exploring a beach coastline, or embarking across the wild frozen expanses of Alaska. At its core, we use the shortest chainstay possible with a headtube angle and fork offset that place the rider's center of gravity further over the rear wheel. This location and combination of front and rear center is key to getting a fat bike that is stable, steers well in loose conditions, and still feels nimble and agile despite the massive wheels and tires. A low bottom bracket is also key to keep the rider's center of gravity low and to make dabbing, dismounting, and remounting easier. 26 x 4.6" Wheel & Tire Size Mukluk rolls on 26 x 4.6" tires on 80mm rims. This huge tire delivers massive traction, stability, and optimum flotation on soft surfaces such as ungroomed snow or loose sand. Bearpaw Carbon Fork This full-carbon fork features a 150 x 15mm thru-axle that boosts stiffness and improves steering precision. The fork also features our Three-Pack mounts for accessorizing with Anything Cages or water bottle cages.

For groomed snow or dirt, this diameter provides increased rollover, a longer contact patch, and the flotation of a 3.8" tire without the added rolling resistance when compared to a 26" wheel. Front Wheel Options The fork included with this frame works with the following wheel and tire combinations: 26 x 3.8–5" on up to a 100 mm rim; 7.5 x 3.0–4.0" on an 80 mm rim. Rear Wheel Options The Beargrease Carbon frame is compatible with the following wheel, tire, and rim sizes: 26 x 4.3–4.6" on up to a 100 mm rim; 27.5 x 3.0–4.0" on an 80 mm rim; 29 x 2.3–3.0" on a 50 mm rim.
