At the heart of the ECHO’s genetic code is pure unadulterated speed - the ability to transform from a road race thoroughbred to a versatile, agile gravel bike with a simple switch of flip chips at the front and rear dropouts. These eccentric chips, and corresponding dropout design allow the rider to easily change the bike geometry, effectively changing the chainstay length and fork length by 1 cm. The difference transforms the bike from a road machine with 415mm chainstay length, 368mm fork length, 73-degree headtube angle, and tire clearance for up to a 30mm, to a gravel bike with 425mm chainstay length, 378mm fork length, 72.5mm head tube angle, and 40mm tire clearance - all within a 10-minute switch of dropout chips. Pure road performance one day, gravel race-ready the next. One bike. No compromise. The ECHO Stem is a fully integrated system designed in tandem with our fork to completely conceal the cables while still using a standard headset, allowing the rider to easily swap stem lengths, and it works with a growing list of handlebars designed with integrated cables in mind. The system is the simplest and most user-friendly on the market. The cables run through a channel on the top of the stem and are concealed by a faceplate, top cap, and the steerer tube. Headset adjustment is moved from the traditional position at the top of the stem to a threaded portion on the bottom of the stem that effectively increases the steerer clamp length to provide headset preload, much like a threaded headset. The Echo stem comes in 6 sizes from 80-130mm in 10mm increments and is a -6 degree. Like everything we do, the stem is MADE HERE in our Bentonville factory. A 100mm stem weighs 184g. The ECHO isn’t an everyday racing beast. It’s actually two everyday racing beasts, each with a distinct personality. The SRAM Rival AXS brings precision, gear range, and simplicity of AXS to a much more affordable price point than what was possible before with Force. Our standard configuration comes paired with Industry Nine’s sturdy and wide 1/1 GRCX wheels and the all-new WTB Vulpine ultra fast-rolling tubeless gravel tire in 700x40, but you can select the exact wheel and tire combo to build your beast as you please. LIGHTWEIGHT, YET BURLY. TIGHT, YET AGILE. POINT IN ANY DIRECTION AND GO.*** The ABLE begs to be ripped around on chunky gravel, hardpack dirt, fire roads, and singletrack. Purpose-built for wider tires, but with a shorter rear end for telepathic handling. The ABLE is a high-performance off-road machine that tilts more towards the “mountain skinny” side of the gravel segment. It prefers a big tire but keeps a short rear end - in fact, it’s the same as the ALLROAD at 420mm. This is achieved by the most striking feature on the bike - the elevated drive-side chainstay. Getting a chainstay this short with high tire volume is a packaging exercise because the chainring, chainstay, and tire all compete for space behind the bottom bracket. On mountain bikes this problem is addressed by widening the bottom bracket -- but that affects Q factor in a negative way. When we made the decision to make the ABLE 1X-specific it opened the design envelope and ultimately led to the decision to elevate the chainstay. By moving it up and out of the way we could make it extremely wide resulting in an incredibly responsive ride. While our award-winning ALLROAD is a Swiss Army knife for a majority of mixed surface riding, when the path gets rambunctious its road-racing genes might seem lacking. We found ourselves on occasion wanting a bike that was equally engineered but felt more at home on steeper, rockier, and more rugged terrain. It was from this desire that the ABLE was born. It’s lightweight, tight, durable, and agile. You can point it in any direction and go. The ABLE begs to be ripped around on singletrack, fire roads, hardpack dirt, and chunky gravel. Proven on the brutal roads of the 2019 Dirty Kanza where ALLIED athletes Colin Strickland and Amity Rockwell piloted their ABLEs to overall victory. Keen eyes will pick up the lowered chainstay, compared to the raised stay on the original ABLE. Our engineers knew that fitting the largest tire possible on the new ABLE was essential—in this case, it’s a gargantuan 700x57mm—to give riders the performance to steamroll turtleheads and bigger rock gardens or, worse, take a pothole at 35mph without catastrophe. To maintain race-first geometry and high-speed stability, we lowered the chainstay to carve out the real estate for the 57mm tire. Our not-so-incognito, real-world testing resulted in this setup flatting zero times and snagging podiums to boot, proving wider is faster. Speed gains are made through the air, too, with a deeper headtube section and fully integrated cables for a streamlined front end and aerodynamic efficiency you’ll appreciate century after century. Typically, internal cabling limits fit adjustments, but on ABLE, you can change stem rise between two positions (-8 and 0 degrees) without recabling, thanks to our ST03 stem design, which comes with an out-front mount made by K-EDGE. ABLE is lightweight and visually lean, with complete builds as low as 16.25 lbs (RED XPLR with Industry Nine SOLIX wheels and Continental Race King 2.2” tires). Its low weight is due in no small part to the feathery-light SP02 seat post, which features user-friendly, two-way independent adjustability for tilt and fore/aft positioning. Ease-of-use extends to the new internal frame storage. The magnetic hatch is located lower to the bottom bracket interface, not directly under the bottle mounts, which we know endure utter carnage during gravel racing. We did this to save weight and add strength to the door, removing any hinge mechanisms that can fail under the load of a heavy bottle. ABLE is Direct Mount/UDH compatible and fits suspension forks (up to 40mm—though we recommend running 30mm), giving you the shifting stability of the latest wireless setups and the extra travel to take on gravel’s biggest challenges. As capable on backcountry campouts as it is on post-work blasts, the Hook EXT remains the choice when you're unsure of the terrain, but know you want to have fun riding it. Rolling on aggressive 27.5 x 2.0’’ WTB Ranger tyres, this is one very capable and exciting bike when you turn off the tarmac and head onto the trail. We fitted a Seido MGV carbon fork offering triple cage and low rider mounts, internal dynamo cable routing, as well as huge clearance for muddy high volume tyres.
