The butted main tubes put the Ti Earth Ship on another level in terms of vibration damping and lightness. The Rambler continues a fine tradition in cycling, the drop bar all-arounder. It's capable of gravel centuries, quick road loops, light touring, b-roads, and of course daily life. The Rambler is a fully modern adaptation of the genre with disc brakes, thru axles and generous tire clearance. The world is vast and so are the possibilities, the Rambler invites you to fully explore them all. It has all the mounts a rider could want and geometry that is nimble while still being comfortable for long days in the saddle. As with all Wilde's we prefer bikes with higher stack heights, as our philosophy is that comfortable is fast. Being a production bike, we are able to offer this promise at a more affordable price point through our partnership with Taiwan's legendary Maxway factory. It comes in four sizes and is paired with our segmented steel fork. The steel fork does have a slightly longer axle to crown measurement than the Wayfinder which gives the bike a bit higher trail number and a slightly elevated bottom bracket height, both are bonuses when it comes to riding more challenging off-road terrain or pairing with 650b size wheels. Conversely, when you’re feeling a little zesty on your next road tour, Bridge Club is ready for reroutes through the woods. Some people hear "bike touring" and immediately think of long-forgotten stretches of highway, small-town oddities, and roadside attractions. Some instantly recall desolate stretches of desert dirt roads or lush green forest trails. It’s also very light, thanks to another OPEN innovation: Smartmount. Standard, the bike industry uses four bolts plus an adaptor to attach the brake caliper to the fork. This allows for flipping between 140mm and 160mm rotors. However, SRAM and Shimano both always recommend 160mm for the front, so we remove the adaptor and two bolts to attach the caliper directly onto the fork for that rotor size. This makes the setup lighter, stiffer, safer. (Check our Specifications for the correct bolt lengths for each setup.) This design also cleans up the U-Turn fork legs and allows us to make a very light structure with very tunable stiffness and strength. The battery is able to be charged within the frame via the charging door on the seat tube as well as the battery is easily removed out of the down tube through the one bolt battery access door. Bottom Bracket We’ve tried every bot­tom brack­et under the sun and in the end, we haven’t found any­thing that’s more reli­able than a thread­ed BB. Our Hak­ka fea­tures the T47 BB stan­dard, which uses 30mm bear­ings enabling you to use the recent crop of light­weight cranksets. This is the best way to com­bine a thread­ed BB with 30mm spin­dle com­pat­i­bil­i­ty. It’s light­weight, qui­et and durable, because no one likes a creaky bike. Disc Brakes & Fender Mounts The Hak­ka MX has flat-mount disc mounts and fits a 160mm rotor. The ENVE G Series Grav­el fork has fend­er eye­lets, inter­nal cable rout­ing and mon­ster clear­ance for 700c x 50c or 27.5? x 2.25? tires.
