A true go-anywhere, do-anything machine, if you can conceive it you can achieve it aboard the Dream Engine.  The Dream Engine is hand built in the USA and designed for Tour Divide racing, back country exploration, fire roads and single track excursions. Of course it can also crush gravel and tour as well.  It fits a very large tire, has boatloads of mud clearance, and was built with all-day and multi-day comfort in mind.  You’ll find a full suite of features that include: - Three pack mounts on top and bottom of the down tube, bottle mount on the seat tube, top tube bag mounts, rack and fender mounts. - The frame is built around the Salsa Cutthroat fork which has three-pack mounts on each leg and internal dynamo and brake routing. - For cable management, we’ve chosen to use Paragon’s modular system which allows the cleanest possible appearance and can be customized for AXS or 1X mountain setups.  - Clearance for 29x2.6" tires.  GEOMETRY Drop bar off-road geometry designed to be nimble in the tight stuff and carry a load with stability and confidence. The generous stack, and longer wheelbase provide comfort and stability when riding all day or descending on loose terrain. Fast, Fun, Freedom The U.P. started the fast gravel category by combining road bike speed with go-anywhere tires & geometry. With its dropped chainstay for more tire clearance and dual wheel size compatibility, the U.P.(P.E.R.) became the de facto standard for performance gravel bikes. What's U.P.? The road position lets you get out of town quickly (unlike a mountain bike). Space for big tires gives you grip on tougher terrain (unlike a road bike). Get one set of all-round tires or dedicated wheelsets for fast & tough terrain. Available in 2 versions. U.P. and U.P.P.E.R. differ only in weight (180g less for the U.P.P.E.R.) and color (many options vs just matte black)*. Both also come in RTP (Ready-To-Paint) so you can have it custom-painted. Tire Clearance U.P. can fly like a road bike with a 700x28c tire or play like a dropbar mountain bike with a chunky 27.5x2.1". So whether you ride it with road or mountain bike tires, on pavement or off-road, you always experience agile, responsive and confident handling. Dropped Chainstay Probably the most copied feature of the original U.P. (we're quite proud :-). Chainring(s), frame and tire all fight for space just behind the bottom bracket. The dropped chainstay gets around the chainring and away from the tire, thus increasing tire clearance. The result? Space for big (mountain bike) tires without needing wide cranks. So you can run road cranks with a low Q-factor (pedal stance) for the best pedaling efficiency. Our carbon layup So many marketing claims about carbon. But the truth is quite simple. - Every bike company has access to the same carbon. Compared to industries like aviation, carbon volume for bikes is too small for custom or exclusive. So all those different names for proprietary carbon are just that, names. - What matters: high-modulus carbon is stiff but brittle, low-modulus carbon is more flexible but tougher. You need stiff and tough, so the best layup is a blend and the ratio depends on what is most important in each area of the frame. - In some areas (main tubes for example), the blend has more high modulus (and even ultra-high modulus) carbon. Other areas (headtube for example) use more of the tough carbon. That’s how our frames are both light and durable. U–Turn The U-Turn has tire clearance in abundance. It’s also very light, thanks to another OPEN innovation: Smartmount. Standard, the bike industry uses four bolts plus an adaptor to attach the brake caliper to the fork. This allows for flipping between 140mm and 160mm rotors. However, SRAM and Shimano both always recommend 160mm for the front, so we remove the adaptor and two bolts to attach the caliper directly onto the fork for that rotor size. This makes the setup lighter, stiffer, safer. (Check our Specifications for the correct bolt lengths for each setup.) This design also cleans up the U-Turn fork legs and allows us to make a very light structure with very tunable stiffness and strength. Design is in the details Wire-Stays - Vertically thin chainstays and seatstays provide compliance, while their lateral width and layup ensure rock-solid propulsion. Truly the best of both worlds. Flat-Out Downtube - The downtube drives stiffness, connecting your steering center to your drivetrain. The flat sides places strips of ultra-high modulus carbon where it matters most. Zero-Setback Seattube - A zero-offset seatpost is lighter & more efficient, so we have designed our seattube angle such that most riders can use a zero-offset rather than an off-set seatpost. Internal Routing Internal cables & hoses through the frame stay clean & protected and frankly, they look better. It can handle any sketchy descent or technical climb with ease. Because the top tube is relatively short for a mountain bike, a longer stem (80-90mm) is ideal for maintaining reach. Ride it on your local singletrack or load 'er up for that backcountry tour that you've been dreaming about--you know the one. However you choose to build it, Fenrir will ride any road/trail on the map and carry all the gear to get you there. DESIGNED FOR BIKEPACKING Every last feature of Fenrir Ti is optimized for bikepacking. The titanium frame is strong, smooth, and lighter than steel. It can be built with flat bars or drop bars depending on your affinity for large handlebar rolls. Single speed is an option for folks who like simplicity while touring. It has extra mounts on the frame and fork for hauling all the gear you'll need for days (or weeks) on the trail. The frame and fork can clear 29" x 2.6" or 27.5" x 2.8" tires for trails that are especially gnarly. No matter your destination and how long it takes to get there, Fenrir Ti is ready. SINGLE SPEED All metal Otso bikes have the option to be built single speed or with gears. Fenrir is included in that group because it has a small notch on the rear dropout near the Tuning Chip. If you build your Fenrir with gears, but want to convert to single speed later on, there is a single speed Tuning Chip ready to order alongside other accessories. There's no wrong way to build your Fenrir. SO MANY MOUNTS A bikepacking bike needs to be able to carry all the gear for days or weeks on the trail. Fenrir has mounts for bottles, fenders, and racks. The Enve fork also has three-pack mounts on either side for sharing the load. CAPABLE GEOMETRY Pick a trail on the map and ride it. DROPPER FRIENDLY A small port near the bottom of the seat tube allows for the cable routing of a dropper post. If you don't ride with a dropper, you probably won't even notice the port. (MINimal Design) exists because it’s the road bike we want to ride: - A high performance frame with our ultra-efficient tube shaping for power transfer, low weight & high strength - Continuous seattube design for extreme comfort without gimmicks. The continuous seattube means you do not have an area where a seatpost is inserted into the seattube and clamped. Such an area of overlapping tubes would effectively double the material and kill the compliance. - Tire clearance for modern road tires up to 33mm (tire labelling is unreliable. Our geometry is sportive (we still want to go fast) but with a realistic saddle-to-handlebar drop and reach. So many marketing claims about carbon. Yet the truth is quite simple: - Every bike company has access to the same carbon. Compared to industries like aviation, carbon volume for bikes is too small for custom or exclusive. So all those different names for proprietary carbon are just that, names. - What matters: high-modulus carbon is stiff but brittle, low modulus carbon is more flexible but tougher. You need stiff and tough, so the best layup is a blend and the ratio depends on what is most important in each area of the frame. - In some areas (main tubes for example), the blend has more high modulus (and even ultra-high modulus) carbon. Other areas (headtube for example) use more of the tough carbon. That’s how our frames are both light and durable. OPEN was the first to truly optimize a fork for flatmount brakes with its Smartmount connection: - Standard, the bike industry uses four bolts plus an adaptor to attach the brake caliper to the fork. This allows for flipping between 140mm and 160mm rotors. - However, SRAM and Shimano both always recommend 160mm for the front, so we remove the adaptor and two bolts to attach the caliper directly onto the fork for that rotor size. - This makes the setup lighter, stiffer, safer. (Check our Specifications for the correct bolt lengths for each setup.) - This design also cleans up the R-Turn fork legs and allows us to make a very light structure with very tunable stiffness and strength. Warakin Stainless has massive tire clearance because no two roads are the same. The Warakin Stainless has clearance for 700c x 51mm, 650b x 51mm, or 29" x 2.1" tires. Race gravel with 700c x 38mm semi-slicks, then swap in 29" x 2.1" for that bikepacking trip with gnarly trails without needing to ride a different bike. TUNING CHIP The Tuning Chip rear dropout system allows for adjustable bike geometry by changing the wheelbase by up to 20mm, bottom bracket height by up to 4mm, and head tube angle by 0.2º. This means you can easily switch between a bike with the responsive, agile handling of a shorter wheelbase and a bike with the confidence and stability of a longer wheelbase just by flipping the Tuning Chip. Use the back position for stability and confidence with its longer wheelbase, lower bottom bracket, and slack head tube angle. Trigonometry helps us a bit here, as the trail automatically grows together with the tire size, just like you want for tougher terrain. - With 650b gravel or 27.5" mountain bike tires up to 2.4”(61mm), rutted singletrack, slippery roots and rocks disappear. - With 700c gravel tires up to 46mm, even the toughest gravel roads are tackled at lightning speed - Assembled with 700c road tires (we recommend 35-40mm wide), you have the most comfortable road bike ever invented - The U.P.'s dropped right chainstay launched a whole category of bikes. The WI.DE. doubles up. The double-drop chainstays create a very efficient box-shape behind the BB. This increases stiffness, reduces weight and boosts tire clearance. - 1x cranks eliminate the inner ring and front derailleur that limit tire clearance. Most of our customers run a classic 1x setup with 12-sp or 13-sp cassette. But you can also go 2x using the Classified system: light, fast, very efficient and clean. - Every bike company has access to the same carbon. Compared to industries like aviation, carbon volume for bikes is too small for custom or exclusive. So all those different names for proprietary carbon are just that, names. - What matters: high-modulus carbon is stiff but brittle, low modulus carbon is more flexible but tougher. You need stiff and tough, so the best layup is a blend and the ratio depends on what is most important in each area of the frame. - In some areas (main tubes for example), the blend has more high modulus (and even ultra-high modulus) carbon. Other areas (headtube for example) use more of the tough carbon. That’s how our frames are both light and durable. - Wire-Stays: Vertically thin chainstays and seatstays provide compliance, while their lateral width and layup ensure rock-solid propulsion. Truly the best of both worlds. - Flat-Out Downtube: The downtube drives stiffness, connecting your steering center to your drivetrain. The flat sides places strips of ultra-high modulus carbon where it matters most. - Zero-Setback Seattube: A zero-offset seatpost is lighter & more efficient, so we have designed our seattube angle such that most riders can use a zero-offset rather than an off-set seatpost. - Internal Routing: Internal cables & hoses through the frame stay clean & protected and frankly, they look better.
