The culmination of several decades of cycling cap collecting, this is a faithful take on Jeff's favorite cap which he found at a swap meet long ago. Totally packable (no plastic in brim), lightweight, comfortable, and the low profile brim doesn't block your sight lines. Handmade in Minneapolis, just for us. Kiz is the hat company of our good friends Kyle & Liz (see what they did there?). They are wonderful people with impeccable style. They are also co-owners of "Wilde West," the famous Allez La! bike shop. We gave them full creative control to design us some hats. We're quite pleased with what they came up with. Both hats feature soft packable brims and no squatchee on top so that they can be worn with a helmet and shoved into your bags or pockets. Hi, I'm the Surly Lightweight Neck Toob. You might remember me from such films as “It's Cold! Don't Forget Your Neck Toob!" and “Look At This Thing, It Came From a Sheep!" Right now you might be thinking, “But Surly, I already have a Neck Gaiter from you guys. Do I really need a Neck Toob?" And the answer is maybe. Unlike the existing Neck Gaiter, which is made of a light inner layer and a midweight outer layer, I'm made of two lightweight layers. For those days when it's too chilly to leave your face and neck exposed but not cold enough for the full-blown Gaiter, I try to provide a nice, moisture-wicking alternative. Adam said, "I did that dragon like fellow with golden scales. German for scales = Schuppen, but the manufacture in Italy spelled „Golden Schuppi“ on the artwork. 'Shuppi' sounds Japanese, so I looked it up and found out the meaning is „expenses“! Golden expenses, also nice, so I added some hidden $ € Yen and Renminbi symbols on the back of the cap."
