The Jemmy Bar was designed with a few goals in mind: First, we wanted a flat bar geared more toward everyday riding than the Oyster Bar, that didn't sacrifice too much control. Second, we wanted plenty of room between the stem and outer grip section of the bar for straps, accessories, alternate hand positions, you name it. Finally we wanted it to look & feel at home on most ATB's of the 80's and 90's (we recommend a shorter, sub 90mm stem if this is your bike) as well as modern tourers designed around shorter stems and wider bars. With that in mind, the Jemmy Bar was born. Burgtec's first range of signature handlebars developed with, yes you've guessed it! Josh Bryceland. Josh loved the sweep and rise of the Ride Wide Bars but asked us to make him something a bit higher. The Rat isn't one of those guys that's 'crazy' on setup, but he knows what he wants. - 38MM RISE: Back in 2018 Josh's idea was for something more versatile that he could use on all his bikes. After testing various prototypes, he finally narrowed it down to a 38mm rise bar, the perfect sweet spot. The first material thought was Carbon but after getting to ride various Alloy prototypes he just got more comfortable on Alloy. So, the 38mm "Ride High" was born. The same unsurpassed comfort and durability as all of the Ride Wide range, but just a little Higher. - 50MM RISE: It's fair to say high rise bars have taken a back seat over the last decade much in part to the increasing wheel sizes pushing up front ends of bikes and riders trying to match their previous riding positions. After first coming to us a little over 3 years ago and deciding on the 38mm rise bar Josh wanted to quite literally raise the bar once again. We'd previously prototyped the 50mm bar alongside the 38s but at the time just felt they looked out of place. With more riders moving towards 29ers we felt the market just wasn't ready for them. Josh quickly adapted to the 38s but still felt he was running a lot of stack on his bikes. So with more frequency, he was popping in to Burgtec HQ asking if we had any of the 50mm rise bars left. In the end, we ran out of prototype bars, and Rats a very persuasive guy so we just decided to go into production with the 50s. For Josh, he loves how the higher rise allows for more maneuverability as well as getting rid of the excess stack height. Plus, being a taller rider, they keep his weight where he wants it and freely admits "It's easier on my back". The lineup includes 3 profiles with varying widths, shapes and flares to meet all disciplines of drop bar goodness. Made from 7000 series aluminum, and sharing the carbon drop bar shapes, the alloy drops feature 3 profiles a mid flat, a round profile, and the flared dirt drop. The mid-flat is minimal in design and big on comfort. The flat diameter stays small enough so to not restrict hand movements when riding on the tops. Concave shaping on the bottom side allows housing to be taped and out of the way. The round profile and flare dirt drop share similar top profiles with custom-drawn ergonomic bends.

The all-new Ramble Bar was developed through the teamwork of Golden Pliers and SimWorks. We wanted a handlebar that could accommodate a large front bag and at the same time be aggressive and comfortable with a large sweep angle. This beauty of a bar was inspired while digging through the handlebar graveyard / parts bin for new ideas- scheming on something that would be simultaneously shreddy and comfy. After years of fooling around in the woods, tweaking here and there, it's finally time to release the Ramble Bar as the ultimate turbo cruiser bar. In order to make the most of the hook bend in front of the primary grip, we recommend using a brake lever and shifter with low-profile / minimal clamp area. Furthermore, don't shy away from wrapping bar tape around that hook. Comfort abounds while climbing out of the saddle... A 70-90mm stem will work great with this bar. That considerable sweep won't necessarily play nice with some modern geo's built around longer TTs paired with shorty stems.
