The ZS44/EC44 headset is designed to fit frames with straight 44mm head tubes and can accommodate straight and tapered fork steerers with the appropriate crown race. The “ZS” stands for “Zero Stack” as the section of the cup that houses the top bearing sits inside of the frame’s head tube while “EC” stands for “External Cup” meaning the section of the cup that houses the lower bearing sits outside of the frame’s head tube. The “44” stands for the diameter of the “skirt” that presses into the frame. Made in the USA. THE EC34/EC34 is our 1 1/8 straight steerer headset built for your 34mm head tube bike. This headset is built to be both serviceable and reliable. The reliability comes with cups made out of 6061 aluminum and stainless steel bearings, their durability has been made to match any of our other products. The serviceability is also something we pride ourselves on. You shouldn’t have to work on your headset often but when you need to, little things like a split crown race and easily removable bearings can make all the difference. This headset is built to last and for you to enjoy a rock solid, free spinning cockpit. This style is often referred to simply as an 1 1/8" headset which, most of the time, is enough of a description to get you the correct headset. Our headset spacers are specifically designed to cleanly match our headset bearing covers and top caps for a smooth and seamless look. They are available in sets and individually. Details: - White Industries spacers are compatible with other headsets but not necessarily other headset spacers due to the smaller outside diameter of our spacers (see specs below) - "Tapered" spacers are designed to go directly above the headset bearing cover - Sets include 1 each of: 2.5mm straight (S2.5), 5mm straight (S5), 10mm straight (S10), 5mm tapered (T5), 10mm tapered (T10) Specs: - Tapered spacers are 31.6mm outside diameter on top and 34.7mm outside diameter on the bottom - All spacers designed to fit a 1-1/8" (28.6mm) fork steerer
