Welcome to the stuff of adventure vehicle dreams: Mukluk Carbon XT's carbon frameset isn't a burden but it sure can carry one. Alternator dropouts let you tinker with a variety of drivetrains and ride characteristics. Shimano components and custom-studdable tires from 45NRTH add assurance to the equation. Toe the starting line of an adventure race or journey into the backcountry without hesitation; wherever you're going, Mukluk Carbon XT is the machine to get you there.
High-Modulus Carbon Fiber Frame
This material offers improved stiffness, better vibration damping, excellent durability, and weight savings compared to other frame materials.
Mukluk Geometry
Mukluk's geometry works extremely well in all conditions and use cases, whether it be riding groomed singletrack at your local trail, exploring a beach coastline, or embarking across the wild frozen expanses of Alaska. At its core, we use the shortest chainstay possible with a headtube angle and fork offset that place the rider's center of gravity further over the rear wheel. This location and combination of front and rear center is key to getting a fat bike that is stable, steers well in loose conditions, and still feels nimble and agile despite the massive wheels and tires. A low bottom bracket is also key to keep the rider's center of gravity low and to make dabbing, dismounting, and remounting easier.
26 x 4.6" Wheel & Tire Size
Mukluk rolls on 26 x 4.6" tires on 80mm rims. This huge tire delivers massive traction, stability, and optimum flotation on soft surfaces such as ungroomed snow or loose sand.
Kingpin Carbon Fork
Featuring carbon construction with an aluminum steerer, the Kingpin Fork is lightweight and durable, and features an amazing array of accessory bosses to help you make the most of your Mukluk:
- Two sets of Three-Pack bosses on each leg for water bottles for Anything Cages
- Lowrider mounts work with our Down Under front rack for a traditional touring setup
- Internal dynamo hub wire routing keeps the front end clean
- 150 x 15mm thru-axle design boosts stiffness and aids in solid tracking on the trail
