We partnered with the legendary folks over at S&M Bikes to create a more stylish and affordable Made in the USA crossbar handlebar. This one is an absolute dream come true as we've been huge fans of S&M, and their American Made ethos, ever since our formative years spent prowling the local streets on a BMX bike. Partnering with them is a real honor. These are perfect for your cruiser, MTB, or country bike. They offer a heads up riding position and plenty of leverage for control. The finish is a powder coat in Transparent Gold, Transparent Black, or Clear. They look rad and show off the heat marks from the fabrication process. As clear coats are porous your bars will patina underneath the powder coat. Be aware. "Made in USA" and "Wilde Bicycle Co." are stamped into the steel, but the Wilde logo is just a decal on top of the clear coat that you'll apply yourself. The clamp diameter is 22.2 so you will need shims if you're planning on using a 25.4, 26.0 or 31.8 clamp stem. We recommend utilizing a stem with at least four bolts in the faceplate, you can generate a lot of leverage with these and anything less risks the bars rotating. We had been seeing the Yellow Bird stuff around the ol' interweb, and at the Made Show Brian came up and said howdy. After mutual admirations were exchanged we decided that we should probably do a little collaboration. These are the fruits of those efforts. The Tanglewood design is named after a road on one of our favorite local long loops. To us it's a more sophisticated and refined design. Pure class. From Yellow Bird: These brass bar end plugs are the perfect match to the headset top caps. These caps are designed around a drop handle bar but also work well with flat and other handlebars. These are made by me right here in Chester, Connecticut.
