Packs/Racks/Baskets

$130.00
Most of you don’t need the cargo capacity to land a helicopter on your rack. Sometimes, all you want to do is grab a sixer from the beer store on the way home or pick up a nice bouquet of flowers. For whatever the situation dictates, we offer the 8-Pack Rack. The 8-Pack Rack is a solid pedestal upon which you may rest a handlebar bag, grocery bag, minaudière, satchel…or whatever you use to carry your bowling ball around. The 8-Pack Rack attaches to most forks with mid-blade and crown eyelets. It uses stainless steel hardware (handily housed in a reusable Surly Tool Bag), and has the characteristic durability, versatility, and repairability all Surly products are known for. The 8-Pack Rack has lots of barrel braze-ons, so you can customize your cargo tie-downs…or just bolt on as many lights as you can. Rack Specifications: Color: Black or silver Weight Limit: 13.6kg (30lb) Finish: ED Coating + Powdercoat Rack Material: Tubular 4130 Chromoly Platform Dimensions: 270mm x 160mm

Surly Racks are well-thought-out, durable, expedition-worthy racks that work with most panniers. While their racks aren't limited solely to heavy duty touring, that is what they were designed for. When you're out on the road, the best option is to never ever have anything ever go wrong ever. Right? That's never a guarantee though; so having something that you can repair if it does break can be pretty clutch. Thus, the main bodies of Surly's front and rear racks are made from tubular CroMoly steel with stainless hardware. This means you can probably find someone out there that can torch it back into one piece in the rare instance things go south. The Front Rack is height adjustable and provides either a low or high pannier mounting position, which can be handy depending on terrain. When the ground gets rough, keep your gear high and dry. When the path is smooth and easy, you can load things low and keep everything balanced and stable, with the platform above the wheel providing yet more space for more stuff. It's worth mentioning they've redesigned the Front Rack hardware to be simpler to attach and more compatible with things like disc calipers and fenders. Surly also made attachment plates specifically for their Uni-Crown forks for yet more fork compatibility. This simpler design has fewer moving parts and costs less to manufacture; ergo, costs less for you to purchase. Surly's front rack WILL work with disc brakes on the Troll, Ogre, and Disc Trucker frames. It may take a bit of work to get clearance around the front caliper since the many different calipers out there are many different shapes. The new attachment plates will limit any DIY ingenuity you might need, but if you need to throw a washer or three behind the lower left bolt where the plate attaches to the fork dropout, that's not a big deal. As part of Surly's ongoing effort to make this planet last a little longer, they recently started shipping their racks with a small, reusable Surly Tool Bag that houses the rack struts and hardware. This switch helps eliminate the use of some polybags, thereby minimizing excess waste. Plus, you get a free tool bag out of the deal. Surly Front Rack will haul up to 32kg (70 lb) of well-secured, well-balanced gear over roadways and maintained off-road trails. Front Rack specifications: - Tubing diameter: 10mm - Platform dimensions: 230 x 170mm - Weight: 1382g

They're light, pack small, and securely and conveniently attach all kinds of stuff to your rack, basket, handlebar, backpack, under your seat, around your thigh…just about anyplace. You can combine them for even longer straps. - Pack of 6

The EM LOADER boasts a sweet spot on size and utility for extended day rides, particularly when used in conjunction with a small seat pack like the UT Loader. Occupying a reasonable space within the bike’s front triangle, the EM attaches with broad velcro straps to the top tube and with a pair of cam buckles to the down tube- typically with the pack slid all the way forward to meet the intersection at the head tube. This positioning provides for both accessibility for the rider, while underway, as well as preventing the bag from wanting to walk out of position. The EM incorporates two separate pockets- a main larger capacity pocket that will accommodate arm or leg warmers and a light jacket, some tools, snacks etc… and a slimmer side pocket that is perfect for a map, cell phone, keys or any variety of slim, less cumbersome items. Sewn inside the larger compartment is a velcro loop to stabilize a mini-pump or tool roll. The EM is a worthy companion for a rider on any style of bike looking to carry a few essential items to allow them to let a long day unfold, whether in the city, out on a meandering gravel road, or a ribbon of singletrack. - Size: 38 x 5 x 15cm - Capacity: 2.2L - Material: CORDURA® NYLON - Origin: U.S.A. From everyday use to light touring stints, the 'Half Moon' rack adds a dimension of capacity, functionality and style to your bicycle's front end. The front rack is often an underestimated accessory for the bicycle, but once it's attached, it lends itself to easy and convenient use in so many instances, that it becomes difficult to imagine being without it. Adding a pannier bag to the Half Moon- below it's top platform opens up an added realm of carrying capacity. The rack can be attached using fender mounting eyelets or cantilever brake pedestals in conjunction with a crown mounted "diving board". The legs of the rack are adjustable in height with SimWorks' original 'DenDen' bolt mechanism, allowing you to set the optimum angle and positioning of the rack for your bike. The updated version for Spring '22 features expanded tire capacity, slightly longer legs, and a brazed bar across the bottom of the rack to help secure a pannier clip After depositing your luggage on the half moon rack, whisper as usual ? Our new rear bag support is a highly adaptable compact carrier produced by our partners at Nitto. Able to be mounted on a wide range of cycles, the Burrito rack is a suitable way to carry a compact load, whether as a support for a bag attached to your saddle, or as a standalone rack that a small bag, stuff sac, or sleep roll could be attached to. The rack's decking is constructed of tubular chromoly. The adjustable struts can be eyelet mounted or you can use the included band clamps to secure the rack to your bike's seat stays. How to carry your luggage on a bike is always an ever evolving quest for solutions, but we thought it would be appropriate to design an easy-to-use tote bag that could do double-duty on and off the bike. Positioned as an evolution of the formidable GR LOADER, the WB is a tote style bag that fits perfectly in the ubiquitous and practical Wald 137 basket. The bag can be easily attached and detached with the stitched Velcro straps, so it can be used for riding while in the basket, as well as while off the bike. A perfect, stylish blend of utilitarian and versatility, the WB is perfect for commuting and attending school, making a run to the grocery store, stashing a change of clothes, and any other day-to-day activity that you can imagine. The fairly short tote straps keep the bag close to your torso when carrying off the bike. Made from cordura nylon with a good balance of ease of handling and durability, the entire bag is equipped with cushioning material, so it will protect the luggage inside if you encounter some variations in your road or trail. The roll-top shape, a structure that can flexibly cope with the capacity of luggage, and a ‘pig nose’ affords the option of attaching additional luggage to the bag- perfect for supplementing the capacity of the bag if using on basket-style bikepacking applications like carrying a mattress pad or sleeping roll.
