The Rambler continues a fine tradition in cycling, the drop bar all-arounder. It's capable of gravel centuries, quick road loops, light touring, b-roads, and of course daily life. The Rambler is a fully modern adaptation of the genre with disc brakes, thru axles and generous tire clearance. The world is vast and so are the possibilities, the Rambler invites you to fully explore them all. It has all the mounts a rider could want and geometry that is nimble while still being comfortable for long days in the saddle. As with all Wilde's we prefer bikes with higher stack heights, as our philosophy is that comfortable is fast. Being a production bike, we are able to offer this promise at a more affordable price point through our partnership with Taiwan's legendary Maxway factory. The steel fork does have a slightly longer axle to crown measurement than the Wayfinder which gives the bike a bit higher trail number and a slightly elevated bottom bracket height, both are bonuses when it comes to riding more challenging off-road terrain or pairing with 650b size wheels. Versatile It’s good to have options. With the Hak­ka MX, you can run road, cross and grav­el friend­ly 700c wheels, or if you are into burli­er back­coun­try explo­ration, go with 27.5/650b. With the Hak­ka MX, you don’t have to pick one tire option or the oth­er. Our sub­tle sculpt­ed chain­stays give the frame clear­ance for up to 700 x 40c or 27.5 x 2.1” tires. Cable Routing Options Galore No mat­ter what dri­ve­train you pre­fer, 1x, elec­tron­ic, or 2x, the Hak­ka MX has you cov­ered. Bottom Bracket We’ve tried every bot­tom brack­et under the sun and in the end, we haven’t found any­thing that’s more reli­able than a thread­ed BB. Our Hak­ka fea­tures the T47 BB stan­dard, which uses 30mm bear­ings enabling you to use the recent crop of light­weight cranksets. This is the best way to com­bine a thread­ed BB with 30mm spin­dle com­pat­i­bil­i­ty. It’s light­weight, qui­et and durable, because no one likes a creaky bike. Disc Brakes & Fender Mounts The Hak­ka MX has flat-mount disc mounts and fits a 160mm rotor. The ENVE G Seris Grav­el fork has fend­er eye­lets, inter­nal cable rout­ing and mon­ster clear­ance for 700c x 50c or 27.5? x 2.25? tires. There’s also a remov­able rear fend­er mount on the seat stays. It makes for an effi­cient posi­tion that can go the long haul with­out plac­ing too much weight on its slack, 64.9-degree head­tube angle. A 44mm reduced-off­set fork is more sure­foot­ed on steep descents and stead­ies high speeds. Bet­ter up, bet­ter down. DW Link Since 2005, we’ve part­nered with sus­pen­sion guru Dave Wea­gle on the dw-link sus­pen­sion plat­form. It pro­vides an unpar­al­leled com­bi­na­tion of climb­ing effi­cien­cy and down­hill per­for­mance, which has been proven repeat­ed­ly at the high­est lev­els of racing. Air & Coil Compatible The Rip­mo AF is com­pat­i­ble with both coil and air shocks due to a more pro­gres­sive lever­age rate. It allows for coil’s lin­ear­i­ty to thrive and we spec air shocks with tunes that pro­vide pop with­out feel­ing too harsh. On the trail, it gives the sus­pen­sion a sup­ple feel through­out the entire­ty of the stroke, enhanc­ing trac­tion no mat­ter how deep you dig. 2.6” Tire Clearance Ibis helped pio­neer the wide rim rev­o­lu­tion, which inspired the new crop of wider 2.4”?—?2.6” tires. Rid­ers over 5’8 (or 173cm) can eas­i­ly run a 185mm drop­per post, while folks between 5’ and 5’8 (152cm?—?172cm) can use a post 125mm or longer depend­ing on inseam length.
