It's a steel gravel bicycle that thrives on the road. Think of it as a "mountain biker's road bike." If you only have room for one bike in your life, Straggler can (and should) be your one and only. Straggler's capabilities go well beyond asphalt. It also lends itself well to light touring setups. We're talking frame bags, seat bags, and "credit card touring" rather than full-blown touring. Trigonometry helps us a bit here, as the trail automatically grows together with the tire size, just like you want for tougher terrain. - With 650b gravel or 27.5" mountain bike tires up to 2.4”(61mm), rutted singletrack, slippery roots and rocks disappear. - With 700c gravel tires up to 46mm, even the toughest gravel roads are tackled at lightning speed - Assembled with 700c road tires (we recommend 35-40mm wide), you have the most comfortable road bike ever invented - The U.P.'s dropped right chainstay launched a whole category of bikes. The WI.DE. doubles up. The double-drop chainstays create a very efficient box-shape behind the BB. This increases stiffness, reduces weight and boosts tire clearance. - 1x cranks eliminate the inner ring and front derailleur that limit tire clearance. Most of our customers run a classic 1x setup with 12-sp or 13-sp cassette. But you can also go 2x using the Classified system: light, fast, very efficient and clean. - Every bike company has access to the same carbon. Compared to industries like aviation, carbon volume for bikes is too small for custom or exclusive. So all those different names for proprietary carbon are just that, names. - What matters: high-modulus carbon is stiff but brittle, low modulus carbon is more flexible but tougher. You need stiff and tough, so the best layup is a blend and the ratio depends on what is most important in each area of the frame. - In some areas (main tubes for example), the blend has more high modulus (and even ultra-high modulus) carbon. Other areas (headtube for example) use more of the tough carbon. That’s how our frames are both light and durable. - Wire-Stays: Vertically thin chainstays and seatstays provide compliance, while their lateral width and layup ensure rock-solid propulsion. Truly the best of both worlds. - Flat-Out Downtube: The downtube drives stiffness, connecting your steering center to your drivetrain. The relatively longer top tube means a shorter stem is needed with drop bars to align with the rider's preferred reach. It can be built with standard road/CX/gravel bars for rides on local trails or with wider bars to fit a handlebar roll loaded with lots of gear. FENRIR WITH FLAT BARS When built with MTB bars, Fenrir rides like a 90s XC bike. It's fun and lively, yet efficient and Capable with a capital C. It can handle any sketchy descent or technical climb with ease. Because the top tube is relatively short for a mountain bike, a longer stem (80-90mm) is ideal for maintaining reach. Ride it on your local singletrack or load 'er up for that backcountry tour that you've been dreaming about--you know the one. However you choose to build it, Fenrir will ride any road/trail on the map and carry all the gear to get you there. DESIGNED FOR BIKEPACKING Every last feature of Fenrir Ti is optimized for bikepacking. The titanium frame is strong, smooth, and lighter than steel. It can be built with flat bars or drop bars depending on your affinity for large handlebar rolls. Single speed is an option for folks who like simplicity while touring. It has extra mounts on the frame and fork for hauling all the gear you'll need for days (or weeks) on the trail. The frame and fork can clear 29" x 2.6" or 27.5" x 2.8" tires for trails that are especially gnarly. No matter your destination and how long it takes to get there, Fenrir Ti is ready. SINGLE SPEED All metal Otso bikes have the option to be built single speed or with gears. Fenrir is included in that group because it has a small notch on the rear dropout near the Tuning Chip. If you build your Fenrir with gears, but want to convert to single speed later on, there is a single speed Tuning Chip ready to order alongside other accessories. There's no wrong way to build your Fenrir. SO MANY MOUNTS A bikepacking bike needs to be able to carry all the gear for days or weeks on the trail. Fenrir has mounts for bottles, fenders, and racks. The Q factor of a bike is the distance between the outer surfaces of your two crank-arms. The narrower the Q factor, the more natural it feels to pedal and handle the bike because it is closer to your normal biomechanics. It also allows for stronger power transfer to the pedals, more efficient pedaling, and increased overall performance. Adjustable Geometry When pairing the GeoChip head tube system with the Tuning Chip rear dropout system, Voytek 2 geometry has unprecedented adjustability. Pair a long wheelbase with a slack head tube angle for a stable ride in deep snow. Pair a short wheelbase with a steeper head tube angle for a responsive ride on packed, tacky snow. Or mix and match based on your riding style. Customize Reach and Head Tube Angle GeoChip is a new integrated system that allows you to adjust reach and head tube angle. Three sets of flip chips nest in the frame and hold the headset upper and lower cups. One set of GeoChip flip chips allows for +/- 10mm of reach adjustment, another allows for +/- 1º of head tube angle adjustment, and the third allows for +/- 2º of head tube angle adjustment. This means that you can easily adjust your reach or head tube angle at home based on the riding ahead. With two reach options for each bike due to GeoChip, Voytek 2 effectively has eight frame sizes. Tuning Chip Rear Dropout System All Otso bikes are equipped with adjustable geometry via our patented Tuning Chip rear dropout system. The Tuning Chip can adjust the wheelbase by up to 20mm, raise or lower the bottom bracket by up to 4mm, and adjust the head tube angle by +/- 0.5º. With the machined aluminum flip chip in the rear position, Voytek 2 has a longer wheelbase, lower bottom bracket, and slacker head tube angle for confidence and stability in deeper snow.
