Hirobel is a specially designed clamp for bicycle repair stands that makes it easier to work on your bike. It better distributes stresses and loads through the bicycle frame, offering superior stability while eliminating possible crushing or damage to thin-walled and shaped tubing. The pressure clamps used on contemporary workstands were developed for round steel tubing more than 40 years ago, predating carbon fiber, aluminum, aerodynamic and oversized tube shapes, integrated seat masts, dropper posts, and suspension systems. These legacy designs assume your bicycle tubing to be both round and straight, and when it is not, the clamp can impart very high point loads at the clamp edges causing finish damage, internal carbon layup damage, or outright crushing of tubes on the lightest designs. The Italian Army Knife, a very SILCA take on the traditional multi-tool. Traditional methods have involved using 2-3 different solvents and rinse steps, moving from non-polar solvents that thin greases and oils to progressively more polar solvents that evaporate quickly to eliminate residues. For the design of SILCA Chain Stripper, we started from the end and worked backwards, identifying chemicals which drive out greases and oils while promoting wax adhesion to metal. The result is an organic cleaner that lifts and encapsulates greases and oils allowing them to easily be rinsed away from the metal surface. The result is the world's first wax optimized chain cleaner which not only removes greases and oils, but actually primes the metal surface for improved adhesion from wax lubricants. The aggressive 'lift and encapsulate' action of SILCA chain stripper allows for 2 quick and easy cleaning options. Option 1: For hot-melt waxing a new, factory chain with SILCA Secret Blend Hot Melt, simply immerse the chain in the Stripper and agitate 30 seconds. Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes and agitate again for 30 seconds. Remove the chain from the Stripper and rinse with water and then drop the chain directly into the hot wax, the water will boil off within a few minutes and the chain will be fully waxed with up to 30% longer application life than a chain cleaned by traditional methods. Option 2: For drip applied waxing of a new or nearly new chain with SILCA Super Secret without removing the chain from the bicycle. Apply 1 drop of SILCA Chain Stripper to each roller of the chain while backpedalling. Allow to soak for 5 minutes. Backpedal 10 revolutions of the crank to agitate cleaner and re-apply 1 drop per roller allowing to sit for 5 more minutes. Rinse with clean water while backpedalling at least 10 revolutions.

Traditionally, mountain cleats have only had two material options. Mild steel and brass. This has largely been to ensure that the cleat wore out faster than the pedal interface, but has left us with cleats that are often times very fast wearing, and in all cases, are quite heavy. Enter 6/4 Titanium, only slightly less hard than tool or spring steel used in the pedals, it's a remarkable 2.25 times stronger and 3 times tougher than brass or mild steel. Best of all, the extreme toughness and abrasion resistance of 6Al/4V titanium means that you can expect 300-400% wear life compared to traditional materials. Now we couldn't just stop there, but by combining 3D printing technology with this material that is 1/3 lighter than steel, we are able to achieve a cleat with internal lattice structure (called a gyroid) which maintains stiffness and strength while reducing weight to create a cleat set that is HALF the weight of a standard cleat set. Modern carbon rims and tires create a real challenge for traditional tire levers, and the new wave of tubeless setups have taken the challenge to the next level. Tire fits are tighter than they've ever been, while carbon rims require non-metal levers to resist damage to the bead or brake surface during use. Previous solutions to this problem have involved using a metal core inside of a plastic lever however, this solution has its own challenges as the core of the lever is where you can add the least stiffness and strength. Silca Nastro Piloti is a 1.85mm-thick tape for aggressive riding and racing which provides cushioning equivalent to 2.5mm thick tapes of existing technology. The Asymmetric Piloti Texture inspired by F1 tire technology allows the tape to be wrapped in either a moderate-texture or high-texture format depending on preference. Inspired by advancements in running shoe foam and F1 tires as well as our own research into rolling efficiency, impedance, and damping, we realized that materials technology could allow for a significant improvement in bar tape. Using a laminate of SILCAthane, SILCAlon and 3M Visco-elastic adhesive instead of a single-foam extrusion, the tape can be optimized across a range of desired features. The resulting tape has a softer, more comfortable feel, higher wet and dry grip, better vibration isolation, and 3-5x the durability of existing tape materials.
