Hubs

White Industries CLD Front Hub - 12mm, TA, 32h
$185.50 - $193.20
Our CLD (Center Lock Disc) hubs are designed around the Center Lock splined rotor mounting interface as opposed to the 6-bolt mounting standard used on our XMR hub. The Center Lock system allows us to decrease the flange diameter which results in a slightly lighter hub that’s at home on road builds but retains the durability needed for mountain applications. Made in our shop from U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aluminum, they’re available in a range of drillings, colors, and axle configurations. A question we always get about our disc hubs is, “CLD or XMR? Which is better?”. Neither is “better” than the other. Both share the same internals and the differences really come down to the respective designs having to accommodate the two different rotor mounting interfaces. The CLD has a more compact look and is slightly lighter while the XMR has larger flanges which allows those really cool “windows” to be machined into them. Bottom line is you really can’t go wrong with either hub! Most of the time choosing is simply a matter of which disc rotor system you already have on your bike, so your choice is kind of made for you. And if you’re building a new bike, it’s not a bad idea to stick with the rotor system you’re using on your other bikes, just in case you want to swap things around. And to add to it, Shimano and SRAM don’t offer all their rotor models and sizes in both Center Lock and 6 bolt, so be aware of that when speccing out your new rig. - U.S. made 6061-T6 aluminum - Enduro ABEC 5 bearings - Easily serviceable/rebuildable - Compatible with Center Lock style rotors - Redesigned axle to allow you to use the standard Center Lock lock nut provided with Shimano rotors - Rotor lockrings not included SPECIFICATIONS - 145g - 32H drillings - 100mm O.L.D. dimension (standard fork spacing, non-boost) - 12mm Thru axle - Two Enduro ABEC 5 17287-2rs bearings
