Gravel

$11,132.00 - $21,323.00
Pure gravel performance- 45mm tire clearance-Stiff and light-The ROUTT RSL is the ultimate gravel bike and mixed surface machine. ***************************************************************** Angry Catfish Bicycle is one of the largest Moots dealers in the country. We have bikes coming in stock throughout the year. Text, call, or email if you're considering a Moots. We may have the bike you're looking for coming in, or we can work with you to build the bike of your dreams. We'd love to help you. ***************************************************************** PERFORMANCE FIT & FEEL race fit geometry that puts the rider in a neutral to positive position ONE BIKE, MANY USES broken roads, dirt roads, gravel and rock strewn double track are where the ROUTT RSL are most comfortable STIFF our butted tube set combined with our 3D printed dropout, 142 x 12 thru axle and FLAT MOUNT disc brake mount increases stiffness for quick acceleration LIGHTWEIGHT our proprietary, internally butted titanium tube set reduces weight and maintains stiffness and durability DESIGNED TO FIT seven stock sizes and 7 designs, all angles, tube lengths, tube diameters and wall thickness are size-selected to create the perfect ride feel MOOTS SELECT BUILDS come standard with our BRUSHED finish but can be upgraded to a full array of finish options including our Signature Series anodized logos and patterns. Visit our FINISHES page for the full menu and details. Tire Size – The Routt RSL holds a 45mm maximum tire size. We all love to go fast and the goldilocks tire size for most fast paced gravel rides and races lands right at 40mm. The ROUTT RSL will allow you to go up to a 45mm for those extra chunky courses or those bike packing overnighters you might have planned the following weekend. When we say a 45mm fits, it does more than “just fit” it clears with room for mud should you take that one turn you might not have. We were able to keep the chain stays at 43cm for an agile handling bike and great climber. The Routt RSL retains its double butted tube set, 3D printed dropouts and brake mount and comes standard with 3 water bottle locations, fender mounts and multiple choices of Moots finishes. 7 stock sizes and customs are always available. Angles, Stems & Bars – The head angle goes a bit slacker to give us a bike that tracks straight down on lumpy roads. It’s not a big change from the past geo, just a refinement that we think rides better. It’s still very nimble and responds very well to rider input. As the Routt RSL has traditionally run a longer top tube vs. the Routt 45 and Routt YBB, we want to see it paired with a shorter stem and a wider bar than in the past. More leverage on the wider bar, more direct with the shorter stem. All three of these things add to the already sublime ride of the Routt RSL and enhance its capabilities.. Gravel W I D E for all: As the evolution of gravel bikes continue, drive trains take on a special debate of 1x or 2x? Well, that’s up to you and your preferences for your local riding. But what’s great is that SRAM and Shimano have come out with gravel wide drive train options.. What does this mean? GRAVEL WIDE….say it again with spirit! What does it do? Gravel wide moves the chain ring (s) outboard as well as adding 2.5mm to each side for width at the crank. What this allows a builder like Moots to do is move the chainstays outboard to create tire clearance WITHOUT making the chainstays longer. This in conjunction with the wider gearing range now needed for 45-50mm tires and the terrain we want to ride makes this a win-win. The ROUTT UPDATES in all three models are built around gravel wide. The ONLY drawback is that you will NOT be able to install a standard road group set on the Routt family of bikes, but with broader tires being used we’ve found standard road gearing simply no longer to be relevant for this application. Fork: The current Moots gravel/cx fork is standard on all three Routt models. It features ample room for the 50mm tire, tapered steerer tube, hidden fender eyelets, 12mm thru-axle and flat mount brake mount. Its full carbon construction is stiff, durable and lightweight. Designed by Moots specifically for our gravel bikes.

Product Details: The NEW Routt CRD incorporates everything we have learned about making versatile gravel bikes for the last 10 years. The ROUTT CRD is a streamlined package that is meant for speed across all gravel and broken road surfaces, while maintaining legendary Moots ride quality. Our RSL (Race Super Light) tube set leads the way to save weight, while our updated 3D printed dropouts and brake mount pull together the back end into precise alignment. No wires or hoses to be seen. The concept continues to improve stiffness where power enters the bike around the BB and dropouts while isolating the rider with lighter tubing both in the seat stays and the top tube for those all day rides. With the gravel racer in mind the Routt CRD is optimized around 40-42c tires with plenty of clearance to spare.

WHEN PURE ROAD SPEED IS WHAT MATTERS MOST. RESPONSIVE WHEN YOUR WATTS ARE BIG. SMOOTH WHEN THE ROADS ARE POOR. There is something gloriously pure about the single-minded road machine. The ALFA DISC is exactly that: Our knock-down, drag-out race bike whose goal is to take each and every one of your watts and transform it into sheer speed. The carbon layup and frame geometry are tuned with care to give you just the right amount of road feel for blasting through twisty roads. The final addition to its performance is actually subtraction -- the way we take the edge off the high-frequency chatter from choppy pavement. The ALFA DISC pairs the very best in technology and performance to timeless design. We leverage the very best in raw materials and engineering know-how to deliver a best-in-class race bike, doing so in an elegant and pragmatic way. Elegance? The near-level top tube of the ALFA DISC hearkens to decades of classic road bike aesthetics. We obsess on the little things like cable management and the seatpost binder. Pragmatism? We dismiss 15 years of senseless blather about new-and-improved bottom brackets and build the ALFA DISC with a 68mm threaded design. We offer the bike in 12 sizes -- including “+” sized headtubes. We use Innegra fibers at high-stress areas for added durability where you need it most. MAXIMUM CLEARANCE 700x30 front and rear WEIGHT 875g for 56cm SIZING 6 standard sizes from 49cm-61cm, and 6 "Plus" sizes (2cm taller headtube) DRIVETRAIN 2x crankset for maximum gearing options. Threaded BB. Braze-on front derailleur. Compatible with all shifting systems - electronic and mechanical. OTHER SPECS 27.2mm seatpost. Flat-mount disc brakes. Integrated headset - 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" **This is meant to give you an idea of what's possible with an Allied Echo. Allied bikes are built to order. Call or text us to get started on your Allied build.

At the heart of the ECHO’s genetic code is pure unadulterated speed - the ability to transform from a road race thoroughbred to a versatile, agile gravel bike with a simple switch of flip chips at the front and rear dropouts. These eccentric chips, and corresponding dropout design allow the rider to easily change the bike geometry, effectively changing the chainstay length and fork length by 1 cm. The difference transforms the bike from a road machine with 415mm chainstay length, 368mm fork length, 73-degree headtube angle, and tire clearance for up to a 30mm, to a gravel bike with 425mm chainstay length, 378mm fork length, 72.5mm head tube angle, and 40mm tire clearance - all within a 10-minute switch of dropout chips. Pure road performance one day, gravel race-ready the next. One bike. No compromise. The ECHO Stem is a fully integrated system designed in tandem with our fork to completely conceal the cables while still using a standard headset, allowing the rider to easily swap stem lengths, and it works with a growing list of handlebars designed with integrated cables in mind. The system is the simplest and most user-friendly on the market. The cables run through a channel on the top of the stem and are concealed by a faceplate, top cap, and the steerer tube. Headset adjustment is moved from the traditional position at the top of the stem to a threaded portion on the bottom of the stem that effectively increases the steerer clamp length to provide headset preload, much like a threaded headset. The Echo stem comes in 6 sizes from 80-130mm in 10mm increments and is a -6 degree. Like everything we do, the stem is MADE HERE in our Bentonville factory. A 100mm stem weighs 184g. The ECHO isn’t an everyday racing beast. It’s actually two everyday racing beasts, each with a distinct personality. The SRAM Rival AXS brings precision, gear range, and simplicity of AXS to a much more affordable price point than what was possible before with Force. Our standard configuration comes paired with Industry Nine’s sturdy and wide 1/1 GRCX wheels and the all-new WTB Vulpine ultra fast-rolling tubeless gravel tire in 700x40, but you can select the exact wheel and tire combo to build your beast as you please. GEOMETRY Flip Chips change geometry between road and gravel. INTEGRATION ECHO Stem hides the brake cables, provides incredible stiffness and is painted to match. COMPATIBILITY The ECHO is compatible with all current electric road and gravel 1x and 2x drivetrain options from Shimano and SRAM. BOTTLE MOUNTIS 2x downtube, and 1x seat tube TIRE CLEARANCE 700x30mm in road mode, and 700x40mm in gravel mode. **This is meant to give you an idea of what's possible with an Allied Echo. LIGHTWEIGHT, YET BURLY. TIGHT, YET AGILE. POINT IN ANY DIRECTION AND GO.*** The ABLE begs to be ripped around on chunky gravel, hardpack dirt, fire roads, and singletrack. Purpose-built for wider tires, but with a shorter rear end for telepathic handling. The ABLE is a high-performance off-road machine that tilts more towards the “mountain skinny” side of the gravel segment. It prefers a big tire but keeps a short rear end - in fact, it’s the same as the ALLROAD at 420mm. This is achieved by the most striking feature on the bike - the elevated drive-side chainstay. Getting a chainstay this short with high tire volume is a packaging exercise because the chainring, chainstay, and tire all compete for space behind the bottom bracket. On mountain bikes this problem is addressed by widening the bottom bracket -- but that affects Q factor in a negative way. When we made the decision to make the ABLE 1X-specific it opened the design envelope and ultimately led to the decision to elevate the chainstay. By moving it up and out of the way we could make it extremely wide resulting in an incredibly responsive ride. While our award-winning ALLROAD is a Swiss Army knife for a majority of mixed surface riding, when the path gets rambunctious its road-racing genes might seem lacking. We found ourselves on occasion wanting a bike that was equally engineered but felt more at home on steeper, rockier, and more rugged terrain. It was from this desire that the ABLE was born. It’s lightweight, tight, durable, and agile. You can point it in any direction and go. The ABLE begs to be ripped around on singletrack, fire roads, hardpack dirt, and chunky gravel. Proven on the brutal roads of the 2019 Dirty Kanza where ALLIED athletes Colin Strickland and Amity Rockwell piloted their ABLEs to overall victory. ABLE is available in two stock colors -- Calvary Blue paint with Ecru decals, or Sport Grey paint with Mystique decals. Or you can personalize from an assortment of non-stock PPG paint and decal options -- including Gloss, Matte and Harlequin -- for a $500 upcharge. And if you have a color in mind you don't find there, contact us so we can discuss the possibilities. ****All Allied bikes are built to order. After an order is placed we will reach out to you about delivery time. Typical delivery is around 6 weeks after an order is placed. We have shown just a few of the many stock configurations available. There are three cockpit options in Easton, Easton Light, and Enve. There are also six wheel options that include: Industry Nine 1/1 GRCX, Industry Nine UL 250C, Easton E70 AX, Reynolds ATR, Reynolds Black Label ATR, and Enve AR 3.4 w/ Chris King hubs. We can also build the bike exactly the way you want. Call, text, or email us for more information.

The Earth Ship exists to be the lightest, fastest, and most comfortable gravel bike on the market. It is the epitome of what we believe a modern drop bar bike can and should be. This is our dream hand-crafted USA-made gravel race / all-road bike. It is light, nimble, capable, and most importantly comfortable for very long days in the saddle. As we’ve gotten less self-conscious and more independent-minded we’ve come to embrace taller stack heights as the future of endurance riding. One of our goals with the Earth Ship was to create a bike that looked as aesthetically pleasing as possible with high handlebars. When it comes to big days, we believe that “comfortable is fast!” You’ll find a full suite of features that include: - Three bottle mounts, top tube bag mount, and fender mounts. - The frame is built around our own Waypoint fork which has three-pack mounts on each leg and internal dynamo and brake routing. - For cable management, we’ve chosen to use Paragon’s modular system which allows the cleanest possible appearance and can be customized for AXS, 1X or a traditional two derailleur setup. We use full-round cable guides on the stays as we find plastic zip ties on high-end bikes to be an inelegant compromise. - Clearance for 700 X 50c or 650b X 2.2" tires GEOMETRY Gravel race geo with all-day comfort and bump absorption at the forefront. The tall stack, a slightly lowered bottom bracket, and generous stays yield an unbelievably smooth ride and inspire confidence when descending fast over loose terrain. The redesigned MT-2 is exactly the bike we wanted to ride. Designed, built, and tested in Boulder, CO, we recognized our desire for a fast and efficient, highly capable hardtail. The MT-2 is equally at home on the start line of a marathon mountain bike race, as it is on an all-day big mountain adventure or a weekend bike-packing trip in the desert. WIDER CLEARANCE, SLEEKER DESIGN, FASTER EVERYWHERE, AND NEVER MORE ABLE. ABLE has always been about giving you the most advanced, performance-driven racing platform on gravel. And now, it’s even more capable. Massive tire clearance, race-focused geometry, and fully-integrated, user-friendly internal routing give ABLE a new quiver of skill sets to dominate off-road competition. Key Features: - Max tire clearance - 700x57mm Wide - Bottle mounts - Downtube, Seat Tube and Top Tube bag - Chainstay - 435mm - Drivetrain - Built for 1x Wireless Drivetrains - Geometry - Gravel race geometry. Big tires, single track capable, but designed for speed and pack racing. - Storage - Lightweight and easy to access in-frame storage including stow bag. The ABLE is our premier gravel race bike, purposefully engineered to meet the demands of modern race courses. From the start, the original ABLE proved itself by dominating Unbound 200. We knew we were on the right track. Today, gravel racing is faster than ever, pack-oriented, and over even harsher terrain. The engineering behind the new ABLE is all about creating and controlling speed off-road to conquer those conditions. Keen eyes will pick up the lowered chainstay, compared to the raised stay on the original ABLE. Our engineers knew that fitting the largest tire possible on the new ABLE was essential—in this case, it’s a gargantuan 700x57mm—to give riders the performance to steamroll turtleheads and bigger rock gardens or, worse, take a pothole at 35mph without catastrophe. To maintain race-first geometry and high-speed stability, we lowered the chainstay to carve out the real estate for the 57mm tire. Our not-so-incognito, real-world testing resulted in this setup flatting zero times and snagging podiums to boot, proving wider is faster. Speed gains are made through the air, too, with a deeper headtube section and fully integrated cables for a streamlined front end and aerodynamic efficiency you’ll appreciate century after century. Typically, internal cabling limits fit adjustments, but on ABLE, you can change stem rise between two positions (-8 and 0 degrees) without recabling, thanks to our ST03 stem design, which comes with an out-front mount made by K-EDGE. ABLE is lightweight and visually lean, with complete builds as low as 16.25 lbs (RED XPLR with Industry Nine SOLIX wheels and Continental Race King 2.2” tires). Its low weight is due in no small part to the feathery-light SP02 seat post, which features user-friendly, two-way independent adjustability for tilt and fore/aft positioning. Ease-of-use extends to the new internal frame storage. The magnetic hatch is located lower to the bottom bracket interface, not directly under the bottle mounts, which we know endure utter carnage during gravel racing. We did this to save weight and add strength to the door, removing any hinge mechanisms that can fail under the load of a heavy bottle. ABLE is Direct Mount/UDH compatible and fits suspension forks (up to 40mm—though we recommend running 30mm), giving you the shifting stability of the latest wireless setups and the extra travel to take on gravel’s biggest challenges. The SRAM RIVAL AXS MULLET Build For riders who enjoy saving money just as much as running the finest components, Rival AXS in Mullet is the must-have drivetrain. Rival AXS brings the precision, wireless shifting performance of SRAM’s top-tier RED groupset at a fraction of the cost. It’s also built for whatever terrain you’re after with a wide 10–52t mountain cassette out back, giving you the racing gears you need in competition and the extreme-slope, bail-out gears to power up monster climbs. Industry Nine’s 1/1 GCRX wheelset rounds out the build with race-ready performance and epic-ride durability.
